We are thrilled to announce that Madagascar will be hosting the upcoming 30th Congress of the International Primatological Society. The congress will take place from the 10th to 15th of August 2025 at the Centre de Conférence International (CCI) Ivato in Antananarivo. This prestigious event is a cornerstone in the field of primatology, bringing together leading scientists, conservationists, educators, and policymakers from around the globe to discuss and advance primate research and conservation efforts.
The IPS Congress has a long-standing tradition of fostering collaboration and innovation in primate studies. By hosting the 2025 Congress in Madagascar, we aim to highlight the critical importance of this unique island nation, which is home to 112 species of lemurs – all of which are found nowhere else on Earth. Madagascar's unparalleled biodiversity and the pressing conservation challenges it faces make it an ideal location for our gathering. Join us in celebrating primatology and exploring new ways to protect and understand these extraordinary animals.
